WITH RESPECT to the January 7, 2025 meeting of the Council Composition Review Committee, we recommend that the agenda as printed, including any additional information and new business, be confirmed.

Council Composition Review Committee – Tuesday, January 7, 2025 WITH RESPECT to the final recommendation of the City Council Composition Review Committee, we recommend that City Council begin the process to change the ward boundaries of Thunder Bay from 7 wards to 4 wards; AND THAT City Council be decreased from 12 members to 10 members not including the Mayor; AND THAT 8 members be elected by Wards, 2 per ward; AND THAT 2 members be elected At Large; AND THAT this change be in enacted for the 2026 Municipal Election; AND THAT a report that outlines these recommendations and the associated rationale for presentation to City Council in Q2 of 2025 be drafted for the committee’s review and approval.
