Heritage Advisory Committee

WITH RESPECT to the May 25, 2023 meeting of the Heritage Advisory Committee, we recommend that the agenda as printed, including any additional information and new business, be confirmed.

THAT the Minutes of Meeting 03-2023 Heritage Advisory Committee, held on April 27, 2023, be confirmed.

WITH RESPECT to the fence installation to create an outdoor eating area for the Dew Drop Inn on the property of St. Andrew's Catholic Church, 292 Red River Road, a designated property in the Waverley Park Heritage Conservation District, we approve the project as presented by Andre Nicol at the May 25, 2023 Committee meeting; AND THAT the Heritage Advisory Committee confirms that the plans as presented do not conflict with the significant heritage features of the building; AND THAT a copy of this resolution be forwarded to The City of Thunder Bay’s Building Division, if required.

WITH RESPECT to the Pillar Art Project at Thunder Bay Museum, 425 Donald Street East, a designated heritage property, the Heritage Advisory Committee approves plans to install art on the faux stone pillars on the public-facing area of the building’s 2008 addition, as presented by Executive Director Scott Bradley at the May 25, 2023 Committee meeting; AND THAT the Heritage Advisory Committee confirms that the plans as presented do not conflict with the significant heritage features of the building; AND THAT a copy of this resolution be forwarded to The City of Thunder Bay’s Building Division, if required.
